ED Grills Tina Ambani in Forex Violation Case

Mumbai: Tina Ambani, the veteran Bollywood actress and wife of industrialist Anil Ambani appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday for questioning in connection with an alleged foreign exchange rules violation case.

A day back her husband recorded his statement in the case registered under various sections of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

Industrialist Anil Ambani appeared before the ED for questioning on Monday in relation to a case filed under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), 1999.

The Reliance ADA Group Chairman Anil Ambani reached the ED office in the Ballard Estate area of Mumbai at 10 am on Monday. He left the ED premises after recording his statement.

In 2020, Anil Ambani appeared before the ED in a money-laundering case lodged against Yes Bank promoter Rana Kapoor and others.

In September last year, the Bombay High Court gave relief to Anil Ambani in connection with an alleged tax evasion case to the tune of Rs 420 crore, directing the Income Tax department not to take any coercive action against him.
