Four Held With Ganja Worth Over Rs 20 Lakh In Boudh

Boudh: Police have arrested four persons with the seizure of ganja worth over Rs 20 lakh in Telibandha locality of Boudh district.

The arrestees have been identified as Naveen Kanhara, Purna Jhankara, Jeeban Rout and Tapan Dehury of Singhari village in Tarbha Tehsil of Sonepur district.

Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid at Haripur square near Telibandha and made the seizure of the contraband and other incriminating materials. Police have also seized around 200 kilograms of ganja, a tractor, a car, and two bikes from their possession.

Though police arrested four smugglers, two miscreants managed to escape from the spot.

A case has been registered and a manhunt has been launched to nab the other culprits involved, said the police.
