Hailstorms, Thunderstorms Predicted for Odisha Districts Today

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has predicted the occurrence of thunderstorms and hailstorms in some districts of Odisha on Saturday.

Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph and hailstorms are very likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of Keonjhar, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Khurda, and Puri.

Heavy rainfall is expected to occur at one or two places in the districts of Dhenkanal, Cuttack, and Jajpur. Orange Warning has been issued for these districts.

Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places in districts like Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Boudh, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada. Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
