Horrific 3-Train Accident: PM Modi Calls Up High-Level Meeting

New Delhi: Reacting to the horrific three-train accident in the Balasore district of Odisha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called a high-level meeting with railway officials. At least 238 people were killed and over 900 were injured in this horrific train accident on Friday night.

According to sources, PM Modi will discuss rescue, treatment, and other matters related to the accident involving multiple trains, during this meeting.

Three trains collided with each other when coaches of the Coromandel Express derailed near Bahanaga station in Balasore at 7 pm. This fatal crash involved the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, and a goods train.

Three NDRF units, 4 Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force units, over 15 fire rescue teams, 30 doctors, 200 police personnel and 60 ambulances have been mobilised to the site.
