Hotel Booking at Rs 1 Lakh/Day for Ahmedabad Ind Vs Pak ODI WC Match

Ahmedabad: Room rates of luxury hotels have soared to astonishing heights in Ahmedabad for the ODI World Cup match on October 15 to be played between India and Pakistan.  Since the fixture was announced, the room rates have increased because of unprecedented demand to book rooms ahead for October 15. On this India and Pakistan will face each other at the Narendra Modi stadium.

According to India Today, some luxury hotels in Ahmedabad are charging Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh for a room. On normal days these rooms are rented out at Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000.

Five world cup matches including the final will be played in Ahmedabad.

According to sources, there are around 10,000 rooms available in top hotels in Ahmedabad. But it is expected that around 40,000 cricket fans are expected to arrive in Ahmedabad to watch the India-Pakistan match live at the one-lakh-seater Narendra Modi stadium.

According to sources, due to extremely high demand, several rooms in luxury hotels are already booked for October 15.
