Imposter Trying to Enter PM’s Rally Posing as Army Soldier Arrested in Mumbai  

Mumbai: A man trying to enter PM Narendra Modi’s rally by posing as a soldier of the Indian Army was arrested by Mumbai police on Friday. This was declared by Mumbai police on Saturday.

The 35-year-old imposter from Navi Mumbai was arrested 90 minutes before PM Narendra Modi was to reach Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). The arrested accused tried to enter the high-security VVIP area by claiming to be a Naik from the “Guards Regiment” of the Army.

This suspicious person, who has been identified as Rameshwar Mishra was rounded up by the Mumbai Crime Branch officials at around 3 pm on Friday.

A case under sections 171, 465, 468, and 471 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was lodged against the arrested person. The accused was produced in Bandra court on Friday. The court has sent him to police custody till January 24 for further investigation.
