Irked by Power Cut, Man Makes Hoax Call about Bomb at Maharashtra Dy CM’s House

Nagpur: Irked by the power cut at his house during the night, a 30-year-old man allegedly made a hoax call stating that a bomb was planted at Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ house in Maharashtra’s Nagpur.

This caller was tracked down and taken into custody by police from Kanhan, around 30 km from Nagpur.

The caller was allegedly facing a power cut at his house and had made the hoax call in a fit of rage to mislead the police.

The police control room of Nagpur received this call at around 2 am. The caller claimed that a bomb had been planted outside Fadnavis’ house. Then he disconnected the call abruptly.

Immediately a police team with a bomb disposal squad, and sniffer dogs rushed to the deputy chief minister’s house near Trikoni Park in Dharampeth of Nagpur. But the search operation could not locate any explosives. Fadnavis and his family were in Mumbai at that time.
