It’s Clear, Deepika Padukone Plays Role of Ranbir’s Mother in Brahmastra-2

Release of ‘Brahmastra Part One: Dev’ on the OTT platform has cleared all speculations regarding the actor, who plays the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s mother in this trilogy. Several movie buffs, who watched the movie in theatres had claimed that they had spotted Deepika in a fire accident scene. Yet no one was sure. The Director and production house of the Brahmastra trilogy were also silent regarding it.

But the OTT version has dispersed all doubt. Pausing the required scene on screen one can easily identify Deepika in one of the scenes, where she is seen holding baby Shiva in her hands. Note it, this scene comes a few minutes after the interval. But we will have to wait for three years to see Deepika as Ranbir’s mother on screen. As per reports, the second movie of this triology, ‘Brahmastra Part 2’ is proposed to be released in 2025.

‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’  was the first part of the planned trilogy. Although it received a mixed reaction from critics, it gathered a positive response from the audience collecting over Rs 425 crore gross worldwide income at the box office.
