JE Attacked Over Power Outage In Balasore

Balasore: Locals attacked the JE of Nilagiri Electricity Department near Manasha Temple of Barisahi over a power outage in Balasore district.

According to reports, a group of people intercepted the JE, Partha Sarathi Barik and his employee while they were returning after attending a marriage function. A heated argument ensued between them over a power outage then they attacked them.

Subsequently, JE Partha Sarathi sustained critical injuries in the attack and was admitted to Niligiri sub-district hospital for treatment.

Later he was shifted to the Balasore district headquarters hospital in critical condition.

On being informed, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation in this regard.
