Kanjhawala Case: 6 Accused Men Sent To Jail For 14 Days

New Delhi: Six men accused of hitting and dragging Delhi woman Anjali for 13 km under their car were sent to 14 days of judicial custody.

The accused were brought to the jail lock-up and presented in Rohini court through video conferencing. Another accused, Ashutosh, has filed a bail application.

Delhi police said they are investigating the ‘conspiracy’, and probing Ashutosh’s role as well. Statements of 20 witnesses have been recorded so far, they added.

Police said they don’t want further police remand of the accused, and asked for them to be sent to judicial custody.

Reportedly, Anjali Singh died in the wee hours of Sunday after she was dragged for around 12 kilometers from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala in Delhi after the scooter she was riding collided with a car.
