Bhubaneswar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Jagabandhu Chand, Archana Nag’s husband in connection with sextortion and money laundering case.

He was arrested after evidence against him was traced in the money laundering case. Jagabandhu Chand is likely to be taken on remand again.

Earlier, ED took Archana Nag’s husband Jagabandhu Chand on a remand for nine days.

On December 13, the Khurdha District Judge court allowed ED to take Archana Nag and her husband Jagabandhu Chand into its custody. Both of them are accused of amassing wealth through the sextortion and blackmail of influential people.

Archana has been remanded to ED custody for six days while her husband is on a nine days remand.

The ED had moved to the court seeking a week-long remand of Archana. However, the court granted a remand of six days. For Jagabandhu, the ED petition had sought a 15-day remand, while the court allowed for nine days.
