Land-for-job scam: 2 Kg Gold, Rs 53 lakh Cash Found during ED raids on Tejashwi Yadav & RJD Leaders

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigating the land for job scam in the railways, on Friday conducted searches in different places of Bihar and other locations. The targeted locations included the premises of former chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family and RJD leaders

ED is investigating the alleged money laundering in the land for jobs ‘scam’ case.

During the raids, Rs 53 lakh, USD 1,900, about 540 grams of gold bullion, and 1.5 kg of gold jewelry were seized, reported India Today quoting sources in the agency. One of the locations searched was a house in south Delhi where Lalu Prasad’s son and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav stayed.

This house in Delhi’s New Friends Colony area is the registered address of a “beneficiary company”, A K Infosystems Pvt Ltd, involved in the case. But according to the ED, it was being used as a residential property by the Yadav family.
