Maharashtra’s 22 MLAs, 9 MPs Planning to Leave Shinde’s Shiv Sena: Saamana

Mumbai: Saamana, the Shiv Sena (UBT) party’s mouthpiece, came up with a startling claim that 22 MLAs and nine Lok Sabha MPs of the Shiv Sena, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, were dissatisfied with the BJP and wanted to leave the party.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Vinayak Raut said that these elected leaders were in touch with his party and desired to leave the Shinde-faction.

Saamana on Monday claimed that senior leader of the Shiv Sena, Gajanan Kirtikar, who raised slogans like “Hum Hi Shiv Sena” has openly expressed displeasure over the behaviour of BJP.

Kirtikar accused the BJP of discrimination, which proved that all is not well in the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in Maharashtra. He said, “We are 13 MPs and we are now part of the NDA and we expect the issues related to our constituencies to be resolved on a priority basis. But we don’t see that happening.”

“Self-respect and respect cannot be bought with money, it has been proved once again. Kirtikar claimed that his party would like to contest 22 Lok Sabha seats in the state. It means that they have asked for the seats from the BJP. However, the BJP is not even ready to give five-seven seats to this group,” Saamna reported.
