Son of Shiv Sena UBT leader Shot Dead While Doing Facebook Live

Mumbai:  Abhishek Ghosalkar, the son of a Shiv Sena UBT leader, was shot dead by a man while doing a Facebook live with him.

Later the assailant turned the gun on himself. Both died on camera during Facebook live.

The shooting took place within the limits of MHB Colony police station in the Dahisar area. Deceased Abhishek was the son of Vinod Ghosalkar, a former councillor of the Uddhav Thackeray faction of the Shiv Sena.

The violent incident happened at the office of Mauris Noronha. Noronha had invited Abhishek to his office for an event which was being webcasted.

Mumbai police have arrested one person named Mehul Parikh, who was at the spot when the shootings took place.

A viral video of the incident, which took place at assailant Noronha’s office in IC Colony in the northern suburb of Borivali (West) on Thursday evening, showed Ghosalkar being shot in the abdomen and shoulder.

During the Facebook live, Noronha gets up to greet Mehul Parikh. Shortly after this, the shootings occur.

A few days back, a BJP MLA was caught on camera firing at a leader of the Eknath Shinde faction in Maharashtra.
