Man Injects HIV-Infected Blood to Pregnant Wife to Get Divorced

Amaravati: A man allegedly got HIV-infected blood injected into his pregnant wife to find an excuse to divorce her. Such a shocking case has come to light from Andra Pradesh.

The accused was identified as M. Charan. Tadepalli police have arrested him following a complaint lodged by his wife.

According to the victim’s complaint, Charan was looking for a reasonable excuse to divorce her and as per the plan he took her to a quack. She was told that the injection was for her good health during pregnancy.

Later when she went for a health check-up at another hospital, she was shocked to know that she was HIV positive.

The victim alleged that her husband was harassing her for dowry and also insisting that she bear a male child. The couple has a daughter earlier.

Charan is being interrogated and action will be taken after the medical examination of the victim.
