Name of ‘RajPath’ changing soon!

New Delhi: The highway in the heart of New Delhi and the soon-to-be inaugurated Central Vista Lawn are going to be known by a new name. As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is emphasizing removing the names and symbols of British rule, the said area will be named Path of Duty.

The entire area from Netaji Subhash Bose’s statue to Rashtrapati Bhavan will be a Kartavya Path (Path of Duty). While addressing Red Fort on Independence Day, Prime Minister emphasized the eradication of colonial symbols and sentiments. Hence, recently the flag of the Navy has been changed. Earlier, the address of the Prime Minister’s residence was changed from Racecourse Road to Lok Kalyan Marg.
