Nose of Rajasthan Man Chopped for Eloping With Married Woman; 5 Arrested

Jaipur: Five persons involved in chopping off a man’s nose were arrested by police in Rajasthan’s Ajmer. The victim named Hamid had eloped with a married woman, and because of this he was punished in this manner by the group of accused.

The victim filed a police complaint on Monday, alleging that he was abducted by the brother and other relatives of the woman. The police complaint was filed at Gogli police station in Ajmer.

This incident was recorded by the accused who shared the video on social media. The victim from Parbatsar had eloped with the woman in January. The couple was living in Ajmer. Family members of the woman abducted the man and chopped his nose with an agricultural machine. The victim in his police complaint alleged that he was beaten up before his nose was cut near the Maroth lake, while the whole incident was recorded.

When this video became viral on social media, police took the five accused into custody.
