Odisha Train Mishap: CBI Quizzes Signal JE Amir Khan

Balasore: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) quizzed Soro Section Signal Junior Engineer (JE) Amir Khan in connection with the train accident at Bahanaga in Balasore district.

According to reports, the investigators took Amir Khan to the house in Soro, where they were questioning him regarding the train mishap.

Earlier on Monday, the agency had sealed the rented house of Amir Khan after raiding it. He and his family members were not present at the house during the raid.

On June 2, Chennai-bound Coromandel Express from Shalimar, Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express and a stationary goods train were involved in this major train accident that has till date claimed 291 lives. Over 1100 people were injured in the deadly train crash.

Even now several injured passengers are undergoing treatment at SCBMCH.
