Arrested TN Min Balaji to have Bypass Surgery on June 21

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Minister V Senthil Balaji, who has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case, will undergo bypass surgery of his heart at a private hospital on June 21.

Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian informed it to newsmen on Thursday.

A Metropolitan Session court in Chennai sent arrested Tamil Nadu minister, Senthil Balaji to the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) till June 23, 2023. He was arrested by the ED in a cash-for-jobs scam last week.

Subramanian told reporters that Senthil Balaji was not aware of the “critical blocks” before they were diagnosed last week by the government doctors.

On June 14, Balaji underwent Coronary Angiogram. Studying the reports, the cardiologists suggested bypass surgery at the “earliest”. He is now admitted to the Kauvery hospital in Chennai.
