One Terrorist Killed as Security Personnel Foil Infiltration Bid In J&K

New Delhi: An infiltration bid by Pak-trained terrorists was foiled by security forces at the Line of Control (LoC) in the Tangdhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district. One terrorist was killed during the operation, sources said on Friday.

The search operation is continuing in the area to track down others involved in this infiltration attempt.

According to past reports, infiltration attempts by terrorists from Pakistan declines during the winter months when heavy snow blocks the passes. As the snow starts to melt with the onset of summer, levels of infiltration start to rise. So, the forces are on high alert at LoC in Kashmir to thwart attempts of infiltration from the Pakistan side.

There has been a significant drop in ceasefire violations by Pakistan since a renewed ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan in 2021. But infiltration attempts continue.
