New Delhi: Pakistan has agreed to tour India for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023, reported a cricket-based website. However, the PCB expressed a few reservations.

PCB is having reservations about playing the game against India in Ahmedabad but they have agreed to play the final at the venue if they reach it.

The ODI World Cup 2023 will be played at a dozen venues in India. Among the tentative venues which shall hold a World Cup game are – Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Delhi, Indore, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Rajkot, Raipur, and Mumbai. Pakistan will tentatively play in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru.

PCB Chairman Najam Sethi visited the ICC office in Dubai over the last couple of days. PCB is reported to be requesting for a few changes to the venues of its matches. But Pakistan has agreed to play the final in Ahmedabad if the team reaches there.

However, BCCI is pushing for a change in the venue of Asia Cup as Team India is not ready to tour Pakistan for this tournament. The PCB proposed a hybrid model for the Asia Cup where India’s matches can be played outside Pakistan. The member countries and ACC have rejected the proposal.

Asia Cup is most likely to be held in either Sri Lanka or Bangladesh instead of Pakistan.
