Pathaan becomes fastest Indian Movie to Enter Rs 400 Cr Club

Mumbai: Pathaan registered yet another record. It made a total worldwide box office earning of Rs 400 crore in only four days. The audience rushed to packed theatres to watch it on the first Saturday after the release of the movie. The film has crossed the Rs 400-crore mark worldwide.

It also entered the Rs 200 crore club in India. Pathaan was released on January 25 with a bumper opening.

On the fourth day of its release on January 28, Pathaan sailed past the Rs 400-crore mark at the global box office. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#Pathaan crosses Rs 400 Crs gross at the WW Box office in 4 days (sic).” Till Friday, January 27, Pathaan had earned Rs 166 crore in India and Rs 316 crore gross worldwide. According to early estimates, the film is expected to have put in more than $6 million (Rs 49 crore) overseas, which means its worldwide total is above Rs 420 crore.

On Day 4, Pathaan managed to cross the coveted Rs 200-crore mark in India. Its single-day collection on January 28 was around Rs 52 crore. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala wrote on Twitter.

Pathaan is the fourth installment in the Yash Raj Films (YRF) Spy Universe. Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham have come together for the first time in Pathaan, written and directed by Siddharth Anand
