PM Modi Inaugurates Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express Virtually

New Delhi: Prime Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express virtually via video conferencing.

According to reports, the programme was graced by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. This is the second Vande Bharat Express that West Bengal is getting after the one that runs between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri.

Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express: Timings

From Howrah, the train will likely be scheduled to leave at 6 am and arrive in Puri at 11:50 pm. Puri train is scheduled to leave at 1:50 pm and arrive in Howrah at 7.30 pm.

The Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express train will travel 500 km in roughly 5 hours and 30 minutes.

Vande Bharat Express: How to book online ticket

Step 1: Visit to IRCTC e-ticketing website at irctc.co.in and login to your existing account.

Step 2: Then enter your trip origin and destination details in the ‘From’ and ‘To’ stations in the ‘Book your ticket’ section.

Step 3: Select the date of travel

Step 4: Choose Vande Bharat Express.

Step 5: Select either AC Chair car or Executive in the type.

Step 6: Fill in the passenger details and review them

Step 7: Finally, make the payment and carry your ticket while travelling.
