Private Hospital Sealed for BSKY Fraud in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: A private hospital was sealed by the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) officials for doing fraud in the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY).

According to sources, the JM Care Hospital at Nayabazaar was sealed in the presence of senior CMC officials, the CMC enforcement team, and Madhupatna police station personnel.

Reportedly, the hospital authorities were unable to show documents including trade licenses, NOC, and registrations. Patients were treated in non-impaneled healthcare facilities but were shown to be admitted to an impaneled one.

The CMC has given a time period of three days to the hospital authorities to submit its paper.

“The hospital authorities could not show any documents, following which it is sealed. Further action will be taken after the hospital submits its papers. They have been given three days,” said CMC deputy commissioner Ajay Mohanty.
