Rotting Body of Foreigner Found in National Capital

 

 

New Delhi: An extremely decomposed body of a 66-year-old foreign national was found near an underpass in Geeta Colony of New Delhi. The deceased was identified as Bagwath Lutchmee, a citizen of Mauritius, Delhi police informed on Saturday.

Lutchmee arrived in India on a tourist visa on February 6. According to police sources, his body was found on Friday evening. Noticing the decomposed body, a passerby informed the police.

The decomposed body was immediately taken into custody. It has been preserved in a Delhi hospital. Family members of the deceased are being informed through the Mauritius embassy.

Delhi police have formed teams to probe this death of the foreign national in the nation’s capital. An investigation is on to find out the places where the deceased had gone before his death.
