Rs 40 Crore worth Heroin Seized in Mumbai

Mumbai: Eight kilograms of Heroin was seized from two foreign nationals at the Mumbai airport. The seized narcotics is worth Rs 40 crore in the international market. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) arrested the two foreigners involved in the smuggling of this huge cache of heroin into India on Sunday.

Officials of the DRI Customs had received tip-off that these two foreign passengers were to arrive in Mumbai along with the heroin. When they landed at the Mumbai international airport, both were immediately taken into custody for interrogation and search.

Two packets of white powder each weighing 4 kg were recovered from their luggage. Chemical tests proved that the packets contained heroin.
