Russian Death In Paradip | If Required, CB Will Probe Matter: Odisha DGP

Paradip: As the Crime Branch (CB) is probing the mysterious deaths of two other Russians, Odisha DGP has repeated the same lines for another Russian, who was found dead on Tuesday.

When the media asked DGP, Sunil Bansal about the investigation of the third Russian’s death, the latter said that if required, a Crime Branch probe will be ordered.

“The body was found in the ship at Paradip Port anchorage; port authorities have informed police about the death. If required, a Crime Branch probe will be ordered,” DGP said.

It is pertinent to be mentioned here that Odisha DGP also ordered a Crime Branch probe into the matter when two Russians were mysteriously found dead in Rayagada hotel.

Paradip Port Trust chairman PL Haranadh said the ship’s master informed them that Sergey Milyakov, the chief engineer, died of heart attack.

Milyakov died 10 days after two Russian nationals died within two days at a hotel in Odisha’s Rayagada district under mysterious circumstances.

Four Russian nationals checked into the hotel on December 21. Vladimir Bidenov, 61, allegedly died of cardiac arrest a day later.

On December 24, Pavel Antov was reported to have fallen to death from the terrace of the two-storey hotel. His post-mortem indicated he died of internal injuries. Bidenov’s autopsy indicated he died of a heart attack.
