Senior Citizen and His Grandson killed in Tiger Attacks in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Three members of a family faced separate incidents of tiger attacks in Karnataka’s Kodagu area. Two of them died while the third one was seriously injured.

According to Karnataka police, a 75-year-old agricultural worker named Raju was killed by a tiger on Monday morning near Ponnampet taluk’s Palleri village, bordering Kerala. His grandson, Chethan (18) had also lost his life in a tiger attack on Sunday.

Chetan’s father Madhu was also injured by a tiger. He is admitted to a hospital in Kodagu. The ill-fated persons are agriculture labourers from Mysuru district.

Forest department officials along with the police force reached the spot of tiger attacks for investigation. Efforts were initiated to capture the killer tiger.
