Two Wildlife Smugglers Nabbed with Elephant Tusks in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: Forest officials busted a wildlife smuggling racket in Keonjhar district on Wednesday. Two wildlife smugglers were arrested along with the recovery of elephant tusks from their possession.

Acting on intelligence reports, forest officials conducted raids at two different locations and apprehended the two.

The arrested persons were identified as Babuli Haibru, of Satakosia village and Kalandi Sankhuala from the Sundaria village under the Anandpur Forest Division.

According to forest officials, the arrested duo was planning to sell off the tusks at high price.
