Supriya Sule, Praful Patel Made NCP’s Working Presidents by Sharad Pawar

Mumbai: NCP supremo Sharad Pawar appointed Supriya Sule, and Praful Patel as working presidents of the party on Saturday. Supriya is the daughter of Sharad Pawar and Praful was the vice president of the party.

Sharad Pawar made the announcement at the 25th anniversary of the party in the presence of Ajit Pawar, a key player in the NCP.

NCP was formed by Sharad Pawar and PA Sangma in 1999.

After being appointed as the working president of the NCP, Supriya Sule, who represents the Baramati Lok Sabha seat, was given the responsibility of Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Women Youth and Lok Sabha Coordination.

Praful Patel will look after Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Goa.

Last month Sharad Pawar offered to resign from the post of president of the NCP. But he backed out because of fervent remonstrations from the party members as well as other political leaders.
