Warring Pawars to be Seen Together at PM Modi’s Pune Event

Mumbai: After the split, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar will be seen together for the first time at an event in Pune to be attended by PM Modi.

On August 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will receive the Lokmanya Tilak National Award in Pune. According to the Lokmanya Tilak Smarak Mandir Trust NCP chief Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar will also attend the event. They will share the same podium for the first time after the division in the NCP.

The award is being presented to PM Modi in recognition of his exemplary leadership and his efforts to instill a sense of patriotism among citizens, said the Trust.

Both PM Modi and NCP chief Sharad Pawar will address at the event.

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, and Congress leader Sushilkumar Shinde are also expected to attend the award ceremony.

Ajit Pawar joined the Maharashtra government along with eight other NCP MLAs on July 2.
