Similarly, in the Kendrapada Rajnagar tehsil area, the administration has reported to the High Court that the cordon was broken and thrown. In this regard, the Chief Justice has given strict instructions to the district magistrate of Kendrapada to submit an affidavit to the High Court and to be present in the High Court during the next hearing. The High Court has ordered the district magistrates and local tehsildars of Kendrapada, Puri, Khurda, and Ganjam districts to supervise the eviction and patrolling in their areas.

He ordered strict measures to be taken so that the eradication of the shrimp colony can be completed. Kendrapada District Collector informed the High Court that 297 hectares of shrimps have been encircled and uprooted in the Bhitarkanika. But again some shrimps were found surrounded in that area.

According to the satellite pictures, the court ordered that the shrimp cages in Chilika should be destroyed. The next hearing of the case will be held on the 17th. Before that, Ganjam, Khurda, Puri, Kendrapada District Magistrate, and SP Chingudi will remove the cordon and report the details to the government. The High Court has directed the government to submit an updated status report during the next hearing.
