Tight Security for President’s Jagannath Darshan

Puri: President of India, Droupadi Murmu will visit Puri on Thursday to have darshan of Sri Jagannath. Puri police has made adequate security arrangements for this visit of the President to Sri Mandir.

According to sources, 24 platoons will be deployed in Puri during the visit of the first citizen of the country.

The security arrangements woudl be monitored by five senior police officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP), seven Additional Superintendents of Police (ASP), and 18 DSPs. They would be assisted by 30 inspectors and 110 sub-inspectors. Around 300 homeguards will also be on duty in Puri during the visit of the President.

On November 10 (Thursday), the president will arrive at Bhubaneswar airport. She will then visit Puri Dham to pay obeisance to the divine trinity. She will spend some time in Puri Raj Bhavan. After returning from Puri, she will be accorded a civic reception at Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.
