Unidentified Girl’s Body Found Floating In Mahanadi

Cuttack: The body of an unidentified girl was recovered from the Mahanadi river near Anantpur village under the Khuntuni police station of Athagarh.

According to reports, the matter came to the fore after some locals spotted the body and immediately informed the police about the same.

On being informed, police along with the firefighters reached the spot and fished out the body.

It is pertinent to mention that a young woman from the Sundarpada area of Bhubaneswar had gone missing after abandoning her scooter on the barrage, and it is suspected that the body may be of the missing woman.
