UP Adm Bulldoze House of Another Aide of Gangster Atiq Ahmed

Prayagraj: Bulldozers were deployed by the Prayagraj administration to demolish the house of one Mohammed Ghulam, who is a close associate of gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed. Ghulam is an accused in the Umesh Pal murder case and is absconding since the broad daylight murder.

The Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) completed all necessary paperwork and had issued notice before the demolition began on Monday afternoon.

Umesh Pal, the key witness in the BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case, and his police security guard Sandeep Nishad were shot dead outside his home in Prayagraj’s Dhoomanganj on February 24.

A case was registered against gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed, his brother Ashraf, wife Shaista Parveen, two sons, aides Guddu Muslim and Ghulam, and nine others. Atiq Ahmed is currently lodged in a Gujarat jail.

UP police has declared reward for anyone providing information leading to the arrest of Guddu and four accused, including Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad. The reward money was increased to Rs 5 lakh from Rs 2.5 lakh recently.

Arbaaz and Vijay Chowdhary alias Usman, two men linked to Umesh Pal’s murder, were killed in encounters with the UP police on February 27 and March 6 respectively.
