Youth Beaten to Death in Ganjam Dist; 5 Arrested as Video Goes Viral

Berhampur: A youth was allegedly beaten to death by a group of assailants in the Polsara area of Ganjam district. Police arrested five persons on Saturday as a video clip of the alleged assault became viral on social media.

According to reports, the victim was beaten to death near Chingudighai school in the Polasara area. The body of the deceased with multiple injury marks and tied hands was located by locals.

Although five persons were arrested in connection with this murder, police have not disclosed the identity of the deceased. The body of the youth has been sent for postmortem to ascertain the exact reason behind his death.

It is suspected that the victim was beaten to death after a video of assault has gone viral.
