BJD Leader Pranab Prakash Das In Line To Become The Next OCA President

Bhubaneswar: Pranab Prakash Das, the general secretary (organisation) of the ruling BJD, will run for the president’s post of the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) in the upcoming OCA elections, scheduled to be held on October 28. according to Asirbad Behera, a senior member of the OCA.

According to him, it has been unofficially determined that Das will run for president and Sanjay Behera will run for secretary.

There are a total of 73 voters that can vote in the OCA elections.

Notably, Asirbad Behera was the chief of OCA for nearly two decades. He was the OCA president from 2000 to 2017, for around 17 years. Meanwhile, Behera’s son, Sanjay Behera has been serving as the secretary of the association since 2019.

Das had registered to vote in the OCA elections. According to the draft electoral roster released on Tuesday, he has been listed as a representative for his native Jajpur district and is one of the 73 voting members.
