Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary to Offer Night Safari Experience From January 29

Bhubaneswar: Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary is set to offer a unique night safari experience for visitors. The Forest Department has announced the launch of night trails at the sanctuary, scheduled to begin on January 29. The night safari will be available until 9.30 pm, as confirmed by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), Susanta Nanda.

Addressing the challenges faced by individuals with busy daytime schedules, Nanda stated, “Many people find it difficult to enjoy the safari at Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary during the day due to their work commitments. With the introduction of the night safari, these individuals can now experience the sanctuary’s beauty after dark, observing wild animals such as deer, wild boars, and elephants.”

The initiative is expected to greatly benefit wildlife enthusiasts, researchers, and students, providing them with an opportunity to witness and closely observe nocturnal animals during the night safari at Chandaka, Nanda explained.

It’s important to note that the night safari will be available from 9.30 pm to 9.30 am, with no safari facilities during the rest of the night, as emphasized by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests. This innovative approach aims to cater to a broader audience, offering a convenient and exciting wildlife experience beyond regular daytime hours.
