Historic ‘Bali Yatra’ Begins Today

Cuttack: The historic trade fair ‘Bali Yatra’ is all set to begin from today in Cuttack after a 2-year hiatus due to Covid-19.  Starting from Kartik Purnima today, this 9-day fest will continue till November 14.

As large crowds are expected to throng the fest, the police have made extensive security arrangements for the maintenance of law and order.

Fifty platoons of police force have been deployed to tackle any kind of untoward situation along with the mobilisation of over 100 officials from outside Cuttack.

Moreover, a total of 8 parking spots have been set up for the public. For easy transportation of the visitors from the parking spot to the fest ground, e-Rickshaw shuttle service will be available.

In addition, 20 police aid posts and 4 Police Support Centres have been set up by the Commissionerate Police at the festival-ground for the safety and security of the public.

There will be around 2000 stalls in the Bali Yatra ground this year. The highlight would be 500-odd food stalls to provide delicious delicacies to the public.
