Infant Found Dead In Drain In Bolangir

Bolangir: A newborn girl was found dead in a drain on the premises of Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital (MCH) in Bolangir Sunday.

The matter came to the fore after a few people noticed that a body was wrapped in a polythene bag which was found floating in a drain located behind the MCH building.

When contacted, the hospital authorities were not immediately available to comment on the issue. It is yet to be known if the baby was stillborn or died after being thrown into the drain.

Meanwhile, local police or the MCH authorities are yet to make any statement on the matter.
