Mahima Mishra’s Son Charchit Gets Conditional Bail In Paradip Port Bribery Case

Cuttack: Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL) director Charchit Mishra has been granted bail by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Tuesday in the Rs 25 lakh Paradip Port Trust (PPT) bribery case.

The court also ordered Mishra to submit his passport and not to threaten any witness in the case.

This apart, Mishra has also been directed to depose before investigating officer at least once every 15 days.

On August 6, the CBI had arrested Charchit after he was named as one of the accused in the bribery case.

Charchit Mishra, the 39-year-old son of Mahima Mishra and director of Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL), the biggest cargo company operating in Odisha.

OSL looks after the unloading of cargo such as iron ore, coal and steel, etc., and has a near monopoly on the stevedoring operations at the Paradip port, the second biggest port in India in cargo traffic handling.
