Odisha: 3 Including 2 College Students Killed in Separate Road Accidents

Angul/Bolangir: Three individuals, including two college students, lost their lives in separate road accidents in Angul and Bolangir districts on Sunday. Initial reports suggest that these unfortunate incidents occurred while the victims were out for a morning walk and were struck by unidentified vehicles.

In Angul district, on NH-49 in Pallahara, two college students, Sadhu Samad and Babuli Sunti, both enrolled in Malyagiri College’s plus II program, lost their lives after being hit by an unknown vehicle.

Similarly, in Bolangir district, a young person was fatally struck by a speeding pickup van in Patnagarh. The pickup van fled the scene immediately after the accident.

These tragic events have sparked outrage among the local residents, leading to a road blockade as they demand the swift apprehension of the pickup van’s driver. Consequently, the movement of vehicular traffic on the Bolangir-Patnagarh route has been disrupted due to the ongoing road blockade protest.
