Odisha Expands Nua-O Scholarship Scheme to Include All Non-Technical Undergrads & Postgrads

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, has approved an amendment to the Nua-O scholarship guidelines. This decision marks an expansion of the scheme’s reach, allowing for a broader implementation strategy.

The amendment empowers the state government to encompass students pursuing a variety of non-technical undergraduate and postgraduate courses (UG&PG) across institutions under the administrative jurisdiction of other state departments. This expansion brings a wider pool of beneficiaries under the ambit of the Nua-O scholarship scheme.

Previously, the state government had announced the Nua-O scholarships exclusively for undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in state universities, as well as government and private colleges under the purview of the Higher Education department in Odisha.
