Odisha to Receive Heavy Rainfall Today, Orange & Yellow Warnings Issued

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has issued a rainfall warning for several districts of Odisha for today, July 21, 2023.

• Orange Warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, and Sambalpur.
• Yellow Warning for heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Angul, Nayagarh, Cuttack, and Dhenkanal.

The low-pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha coast is likely to move slowly west-northwestwards across Odisha during the next 2 days. A fresh low-pressure area is likely to form over the northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal around July 24.

Residents in the mentioned districts are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions during this period of expected heavy rainfall.
