Preliminary Exam for Recruitment of Accountants Cancelled By OSSC

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) on Monday issued a notice to notify the cancellation of the preliminary exam for recruiting accountants under the Housing and Urban Development department. The call was made as several errors were spotted in the Odia version of the question papers.

According to a notification released by the OSSC today, the commission has decided to postpone the April 23 preliminary examination (both the English and Odia versions) for accountants employed by the H & UD department (Advertisement No. IIE-153/2022-7257/OSSC; Date-22.12.2022).

“Because of substantial errors in the printing of the Odia version of the questions in the Preliminary examination for Accountant- under the Housing and Urban Development Department, Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has decided to cancel the Preliminary Examination held on 23.04.2023 (both English and Odia version). OSSC regrets the inconvenience caused to applicants”, the notice read.

Fresh date for the preliminary examination for Accountant will be announced shortly, the OSSC said.
