Similipal National Park To Reopen For Tourists From Nov 1

Mayurbhanj: After the closure of over four months due to monsoon, Similipal National Park will reopen for tourists from November 1. The National Park was closed since June 15.

A maximum of thirty-five four-wheelers carrying visitors will be allowed entry after getting the necessary permit at the Jashipur entry point and twenty-five vehicles at the Pithabata entry point for carrying tourists into the reserve between 6 am to 9 am.

The tourist can make night halts at camp cottages and bamboo cottages at Gudugudia, Jamuani, Ramathirtha, and Kumari. They can book tickets to visit the national park online on a first come and first serve basis by logging into www.similipal.com and odishatourism.gov.in.

The Similipal National Park comprising the Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) located in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district is spread over 2,750 sq km, which remained closed for tourists in view of the monsoon.
