Odisha CM Mohan Majhi Flags Off ‘Subhadra Ratha’ to Boost Awareness for Subhadra Yojana

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi flagged off the ‘Subhadra Ratha’ in Bhubaneswar today, ahead of disbursing the first installment of Subhadra Yojana benefits.

The awareness vans, launched from Gandhi Marg, will operate until September 16 to clarify the scheme’s eligibility and benefits.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, speaking at the event, acknowledged initial confusion surrounding the scheme but assured that all doubts regarding eligibility would be addressed. She further confirmed that applications for the scheme would remain open until all eligible beneficiaries are covered. “No one will be left out,” she stated.

Beneficiaries will receive the first installment of Rs 5,000 on September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birth anniversary.

The Subhadra Yojana aims to enroll 1 crore women, offering Rs 10,000 annually, with Rs 5,000 disbursed on Women’s Day and Rakhi Purnima. A dedicated online portal has also been launched for applications.
