Subhashree Mohapatra Death Case: Kharvela Nagar Police Detain One

Bhubaneswar: In a major development in connection with the mysterious death of a woman at Shastri Nagar in the State capital, Kharavela Nagar Police on Thursday detained a person from Nayagarh district.

According to police sources, the deceased had tried to contact him (detainee) 7-8 times over phone on the day of the incident. Her last call duration was 27sec, 30 mins before her death.

While her mobile has been sent to State Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis of the call details, the cops are yet to receive the postmortem report.

Notably, Subhashree was found dead inside the house in Shastri Nagar locality in Bhubaneswar yesterday. During the incident, the woman’s husband was away from home while her son had gone to a nearby place for tuition. Her son, after returning from tuition classes, found her lifeless inside the house.

Prima facie suggested that she was strangled to death as mark was found on her neck.
