Two Minors Drown While Bathing In Pond In Nuapada

Nuapada: At least two minors drowned to death while bathing in a pond at Choura village under Sinapali police limits in Nuapada district on Friday morning.

According to reports, the incident took place while the duo had gone to take bath when they accidentally slipped into deep water. Villagers on hearing their screams rushed to the spot. They rescued the duo and shifted them to the community health centre immediately but doctors declared the children dead on arrival.

Following the incident, a pall of gloom descended in the village.
