VK Pandian Assumes Role of 5T Chairman at Cabinet Minister Rank, A Day After Retirement

Bhubaneswar: One day after receiving approval from the Central Government for his voluntary retirement, former IAS Officer VK Pandian has been appointed by the Odisha Government as the Chairman of the 5T (Transformational Initiatives) and Nabin Odisha, with the status of a Cabinet Minister.

An official order issued by the State Government confirmed the appointment, stating, “VK Pandian is hereby designated as Chairman of 5T (Transformational Initiatives) and Nabin Odisha, holding the rank of a Cabinet Minister.” Notably, he will report directly to the Chief Minister of Odisha.

Previously, Pandian served as the Private Secretary (5T) to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. This new role reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing transformational initiatives and streamlining administrative processes in the state.
